Original abstract paintings made in London

Monday Afternoon

Monday Afternoon

Monday Afternoon depicts a shed which houses a corpse. shown by a limp hand falling out from behind the door. A sigil sits in the foreground stamping the painting and suggesting sinister and cult-like.

The painting is inspired by a song by the same name by singer songwriter Marika Hackman. The songs dark lyrics resonated with me and inspired me to create a corpse related piece of art too.

Black and white acrylic paints are used in this painting over a 61cm x 46cm x 2cm canvas. This painting is unlike my other work, offering an abstract concept but through a realistic subject, rather than a colourful textural composition.
