Swamp

Swamp is a high-textured, colourful abstract composition which is reminiscent of grass and trees over water. I love to use this palette in my work, and Swamp is a perfect example of this combination.

A base layer of modelling clay is used to create a detailed cracked texture on an 80cm x 60cm canvas, and then purples, blues and greens are dragged over the surface using paint brushes and palette knives to create this magical abstract landscape.
