Too Much Is Never Enough

‘Too Much Is Never Enough’ is a 51 x 76 x 1.9cm abstract painting using gels, plaster and spray paint on a stretched cotton canvas.

This painting is a large-scale version of Samuel’s work ‘Opulence’, which sold at the Supawan Restaurant, where his work is on display.

This painting was loved by the staff and worked wonderfully in the space, so Samuel replicated it at a larger scale.

By dripping plaster and printing bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard into various media whilst wet, Samuel has created a composition layered with beautiful, contrasting shapes and textures.

The gold spray paint Samuel used shines beautifully, reflecting light in some areas and remaining matte in others, further enhancing the painting's beauty and texture.
