Bubble Vase is Samuel’s second abstract clay sculpture of 2021.

He has created an open topped vessel and has applied different sized clay balls around the opening. He has applied the cracked clay medium often found on his paintings to the lower half of the vessel to add even more texture to this bizarre sculpture.

To exaggerate the texture in this piece, Samuel has used black spray paint on the top of the sculpture and white on the bottom, allowing flecks of both colours to mix in the middle.

Samuel wanted to experiment with different shapes and textures in this work and has successfully created a beautiful and eye catching abstract sculpture, fit for any table or bookshelf.

Bubble Vase measures 12cm x 12cm x 12cm, is signed on the bottom and sits on felt pads to prevent the vase from scratching. Being made of clay, this sculpture is delicate and needs to be held on the lower half to prevent any balls from snapping off. It will be shipped very safely and using fully recyclable materials.

The ‘Double Handle Cloth Pot’ is a small sculpture created using air dried clay, acrylic paints and a gloss sealant.

Samuel created a pot with smooth folds replicating bunched up fabric, connected to two twisted handles .

Samuel finished the pot with turquoise acrylic paint which he sponged onto the clay, layering dark and light tones to create depth.

Finally the sculpture is finished with mod podge, a glossy sealant giving extra protection from scratches and creates a lovely reflective finish.

The pot is signed underneath and sits on 4 round soft tabs to protect the base of the pot and your surface.

The ‘Double Handle Cloth Pot’ is a unique one of a kind sculpture. It measures roughly 12cm high x 10cm wide x 13cm deep

‘Out of Time’ is a sculpture inspired by architecture and Yayoi Kusama.

Samuel began this sculpture after going to the Kusama exhibit at the Tate Modern. He loves her work and wanted to incorporate the polka dots on a 3D object.

The form of the sculpture came from a series of concept drawings Samuel made. His inspiration was time, and he wanted to create an object that was more architectural, bringing his training as an interior architect into his artwork.

The sculpture is made of clay. A ball hangs from string in one corner, like a pendulum waiting to swing. Samuel has painted the clay in a white wash and then covered it in black and shimmering gold acrylic paints. In some parts the clay shows through in darker grey areas, and Samuel has left some areas of clay un-sanded, leaving ripples and indents in the clay. This imperfection is beautiful to Samuel and reinforces the concept of time that he was inspired to create. The sculpture is finished in a sealant and then sprayed with a light coat of matt varnish.

This sculpture is interesting from every angle owed to its many apertures.

Moss Ball is a small green clay sculpture by Samuel Deacon.

Samuel has created this small vase with bulbous shapes, textures and scoring, reflecting his love of texture.

He has then sponged acrylic paints onto to sculpture, creating a nature inspired 'Moss Ball'

Moss Ball is finished with layers of mod podge paint to seal the sculpture, and giving it a light glossy texture.
