Samuel hand stitched two sheets of canvas together and stretched it over a hand made sturdy wooden frame. The canvas was then layered with plaster, pumice paste, cracking paste and gel to create his signature surface. Acrylic paints were brushed, dripped and flicked over this surface to create this striking, bold painting which exudes joy, energy and ‘Pure Excitement’
Samuel created this painting in February 2025, a particularly happy time of his life. With an exciting house move on the horizon, his health improving and with the nights getting shorter, this painting is a reflection of his mood at the time in a quintessential Samuel Deacon fashion, with every colour and every texture he can use!
