Drift Collection
Drift is a diptych painted for my colleague and her newly refreshed bedroom.
She wanted a painting using acrylics and clay using the blue and cream colour scheme, but she gave me free reign over the composition.
Because they were going into the bedroom I was inspired by dreams and the sensation of 'drifting' to sleep. I created a cool composition by dripping the cream paints from textured clay side of the canvas over the blue base that gets darker towards the bottom.
The same design stretches across both canvases, creating an interesting focal point in the room that covers a larger area.
