Too Much Is Never Enough

Too Much Is Never Enough

‘Too Much Is Never Enough’ is a 51 x 76 x 1.9cm abstract painting using gels, plaster and spray paint on a stretched cotton canvas.

This painting is a large scale version of Samuel’s work ‘Opulence’ which sold at the Supawan Restaurant where his work is on display. This painting was loved by the staff and it worked wonderfully in the space so Samuel replicated the painting at a larger scale.

By dripping plaster and printing bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard into the various mediums whilst wet, Samuel has created a composition that is layered with beautiful and contrasting shape and texture.

The gold spray paint Samuel used shines beautifully and reflects light in some areas and remains matt in others, further adding to the paintings beauty and texture.
