Rainy Night
Rainy Night is a new painting created by Samuel in Autumn 2022.
This painting is inspired by the season and was painted alongside Wet Leaves and Warm Lattes for the Supawan restaurant in Kings Cross, London.
Samuel has used blue black and grey acrylic paints on his signature textured surface.
He has created a dark and moody composition but applying these colours over a surface of pumice paste, cracking paste, plaster and gel.
He dripped, sponged and brushed these paints over the canvas, and finished the work with black and gold spray paint, and gold leaf.
‘Rainy Night’ measure 90cm x 90cm and is fixed within a white stained oak frame measuring 93.5cm x 93.5cm.
